In the opening match in the Nepal T-20 League Pokhara Avengers lost inauguration match against Kathmandu Knights. It was one of the most anticipated match of the League being inaugural match of the tournament after long awaited return. Upal Tharanga played very well scoring forty four runs and was close to his first half century mark but but despite his good performance he couldn't get Avengers over the line. Another international star Azmatullah Omarzai played superb innings playing eight five runs not out by hitting seven sixes and three fours over the boundaries.
Young fast bowler Pratish GC claimed two wickets in total. Also, overseas talent Zahir Khan took two wickets. Aarif Sheikh failed to take any wickets. In the next match on 25th Sunday, Janakpur Royals are facing the Pokhara Avengers at Kirtipur T.U Ground. Avengers are looking to bounce back and win the match.
Pratish GC took two wickets in total and also managed to bowl three overs. Zahir Khan, who is an overseas star player, took two wickets. On the other hand, Aarif Sheikh, who is an economical bowler, failed to take a single wicket. The match between Janakpur Royals and the Pokhara Avengers will take place at the Kirtipur T-U Ground 1:15 PM on Monday.
